Il Consiglio e il Parlamento europeo hanno raggiunto ieri l’accordo politico sul regolamento volto a rafforzare l’ecosistema europeo dei semiconduttori, meglio noto come “Chips Act“, il cui obiettivo è lo sviluppo di una base industriale in grado di raddoppiare la quota di mercato globale dell’UE nei semiconduttori dal 10% ad almeno il 20% entro il 2030.
La Commissione ha proposto tre linee d’azione principali, o pilastri, per raggiungere gli obiettivi del Chips Act:
